SPUC Coffee morning.

Sunday 14th April after 9.00 a.m. mass in the hall.

Come along and enjoy ‘a cake and a brew’ whilst helping to raise money for the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children.

 

‘Beginning Experience’ Beginning Experience provides peer support for Separated, Divorced, and Widowed persons, so as to facilitate the grief resolution process, and enable those wounded by grief to rediscover love for themselves, others, and God. Facilitated by trained peer ministers, grief resolution programmes take place in nine countries on three continents, including here in the south of England.

Maiden Lane is five minutes’ walk from Charing Cross Station and next to Covent Garden.


Summertime 2024

CHILDRENS’ LITURGY OF THE WORD SUNDAY 9.00 A.M. is on Easter break and will return on Sunday 21st April.

 

CONFIRMATION 2024 Next meeting at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday 21st April at Bexleyheath Station for Vespers and Benediction at Westminster Cathedral followed by McDonalds. For families only, who do not live in Bexleyheath, please meet outside Westminster Cathedral at 3.30 p.m., however confirmation candidates even if coming with family, need to meet at Bexleyheath Station and travel with the confirmation group.

DEATHS

Please pray for the souls of:

 

Bridie Philomena Nickells, who died on 6th March 2024, aged 86. Her Funeral is on Friday 26th April at 10.30 followed by committal at Eltham Crematorium.

 

Jean Eileen Dyer, who died on 28th March 2024, aged 85. Her funeral is at Eltham Crematorium on Tuesday 30th April at 10.00 a.m. with a requiem at church at 8.00 a.m.


Mary O'Halloran, who died Wednesday 3rd April aged 101. On the 16th of October 2023 Mary was one of the first people to receive a card from King Charles on her 100th birthday. Mary was brought up in County Cork where she spent most of her childhood. Her late husband John O'Halloran was a member of the Knights of St Columba for over 50years and sadly died on the 14th March 2001.Mary had three sons, Stephen, David and Philip, who live in Orpington and looked after their mother for many years ensuring that she was able to live her life with a high degree of independence and was able to drive a car till she reached 90 years and do her shopping in Asda. Mary had great faith and despite being housebound for many years, took a great interest in the life of the parish. May she rest in peace.
